Corrupted Memory Card

Problem:

 

The memory card on my Olympus Handheld device has been corrupted.

 

Probable Cause:

 

Generally, this is as result of the door to the card being opened while dictating.

 

Solution:

 

Use “My Computer” to access device as if it were a removable drive.

 

1.Drag and drop files into a folder, then transfer to ftp or email to Scribe.  If a file is corrupted, the operating system will not allow it to be transferred.

 

2.Delete all files off the recorder and reformat the card in the device.

 

3.Tape the door shut to prevent it from happening again.

 

Note:

On some rare occasions, the software loaded into the Olympus recorder needs to be updated – See Olympus technical support for update.

 

 

Resolution:

 

The card should be Uncorrupted
