FTP Instructions
 
 
Uploading dictation files from handhelds is simple. Just follow the steps below:
 
Set up
1. Request FTP Access - send a request to Customer Service to setup an FTP account for an MD user or MD Group. If the MD belongs to more than one group please be sure to specify whether the doctor would like to upload files for more than one group via FTP.
2. FTP Account and Password - Customer Service will provide you with a username and password to allow the user to login and transfer files.
 
Transfer Instructions
1. Make sure you are connected to the Internet.
2. Bring up Internet Explorer
3. In the address line type ftp://ezdictate.scribe.com
4. A pop-up box will appear asking for your username and password
5. Enter the username and password provided. PLEASE NOTE: passwords are CASE sensitive.
6. If you have multiple groups that you want files to go to, you will see folders for each group. In addition there will be a folder labeled "old" where dictations that have been processed are temporarily stored.
7. Open the appropriate group folder (if applicable - otherwise proceed to step 8.)
8. Drag and drop or cut and paste the dictation sound files you would like processed to the appropriate folder(s).
9. When finished, simply close your browser.
 
Notes:
Sometimes in larger organizations IT groups may block the transfer of files via FTP. If you are not able to login first check to make sure you have the appropriate username/password, then check with your IT group to see if FTP might be blocked.
