Support for Discontinued Recorders

The DS 2300 and DS3000 are no longer being carried by Olympus. Scribe will continue to support these models purchased by our customers (though us) until such time as no further support is available from Olympus for these models.

DS2300  - DSS Player 2002 is the basic software version that was originally supplied with the 2300, but the minimum that should be used at this time is DSS Player Version 6. Olympus offers a free upgrade to  DSS Player Ver6 on their website (DSS Player 2002 Update to DSS Player Version 6 ).Also found via this link is an upgrade to Ver7 which allows for Windows vista compatibility.

All these programs use a device detector to automatically download files when a digital recorder is connected. Half way through Ver6 upgrades, Olympus moved from Device Detector 2 to 3. All users with these models should should show Device Detector 3 in the system tray.
