Required patches for DSS software versions

Software patches and firmware updates for the various versions can be downloaded from the KEC FTP site at:

ftp://kec-dfw.com

(You will need administrative privileges to install patches on your computer. Be sure to exit from the Dictation Module or Transcription Module before installing any patches.)

Logon to the ftp site with the user name and password provided below.

Username = customer

Password = kec2822

To check the version of your software, open the DSS Player Dictation Module (Start>All Programs>Olympus DSS or DSS Player Pro>Dictation Module) and click Help>About

Olympus DS 2300 required patch

Depending on how old your 2300 is, you may have either version 6 or 7 installed on your computer.

Version 6.x requires 6.3.2 - Olympus>DSS Player>DSS Player Version6>Patches

You may instead choose to upgrade to version 7 (v701) available as a zip file - Olympus>DSS Player>DSS Player Version6>Upgrade to Version7

Version7 (v701) requires the following update - Update_v710.zip

Olympus DS 3000 required patch

Olympus>DSS Player Pro>Release 2 & 3>Patches

The final patch made available for DSS Player Pro Release-3 is named P3UPC11EN.exe
