Creating an Application Log

 

Sometimes in order to discern where a particular issue with an error message may lie, Scribe may request that the user send an Application Log into Customer Service.

 

Note that these instructions show the Control Panel View set to “Classic View”. For ease of following these instructions, we recommend that you also switch to “Classic View”.

1.  Go to Start -> Control Panel

 

2.  Click on Administrative Tools

3.Click on Event Viewer

4.Right Click on Application and Select Save Log File As . . .

5.  Save as <Your name> + <Date of Error> (i.e. myname_2008-01-02)
