HTML preview shows gray screen MD or MT

If you get a gray screen in Scribe instead of a pdf during HTML preview:

This is most likely related to Adobe Reader X version’s “protected mode”.

This program automatically installs in protected mode, which prevents online documents from opening in your browser.

Follow these steps to disable protected mode:

Open the Adobe Reader X program

Go to EDIT>Preferences>General

UNCHECK --> Enable Protected Mode at Startup.

You will need to then shut down the program.

Next close your browser entirely to clear your browser settings, re-open your browser, and log into Scribe again.

You should now be able to preview HTML documents in Scribe.
