For users with permission to “view reports” for their Scribe group, the “Reports” tab will be active, and can be clicked on to generate a number of different report types.
CYCLE TIME REPORT -This report shows the amount of time elapsed at each stage of the process, from dictation through approval. The amount of time taken for each stage is shown in the columns of the report.
This report can be run for the selected group by:
| • | All Users or by individual users |
| • | With Detail by User, Group, or Transcription |
| • | For any selected Date Range ("For the Period Starting/Ending...") |
Click “Generate” to run your report.
The first example below is by individual transcription. Because this tends to be a large report, there is a button at the bottom of the page that gives the user the option to download it to an Excel spreadsheet.
Recorded – date and time the dictation was recorded
Received – Date and time when the dictation was received by the Scribe system (if recorded on a handheld device, the Recorded and Received times will be different…..if recorded on the phone system, the times will be the same).
Times beginning with the “Receipt time” column are shown rounded to the hour.
Receipt Time – number of hours from when the dictation was recorded until when it was finished and in the Physician Inbox.
Transcription Time – number of hours from the time the dictation was received by the Scribe system until the transcription is finished and in the Physician Inbox.
MD view time – number of hours from when the transcription was finished until first opened and viewed by the Physician.
MD Approve time – number of hours from when the MD first views the transcription until it is Approved into the Archive.
Total MD Time – total time from completion of transcription by the MT until the time it is Approved into Archive by the Physician.

Totals - total number of dictations generated and reports typed for the given date range
Average time (Hrs) - Average time of Receipt (of dictations), Transcription (average typing time), MD Time (average time from when the report is available in the Inbox until Approval), Print (average time spent printing), Total (time spent with each report from start to finish)
