*The software that comes with the DS-2400, does not allow dictations to be sent from the dictation module to scribe. We recommend sending these dictations manually by email. Please follow the instructions in the DS-2400 setup guide to ensure proper setup of the software on your computer.
Requirements
| • | Olympus DS-2400 Digital Voice Recorder |
| • | Olympus DSS Player Pro Software (included with the voice recorder) |
| • | Microsoft Outlook 97 or higher, or any other MAPI compliant email program |
Setup
| 1. | Configure the recorder with your Scribe ID, Pin, and Group Number |
You Must Have the Device Connected to the PC
The Olympus Software Must Be Installed on the PC
Open the Olympus Dictation Module Software
Choose Device From the Top Menu
Choose Device Settings
*Make sure the Correct Device is showing in top Left hand corner
Insert the Doctor ID# Capital Z followed by the Group# (Scribe Direct or e-mailing)
or
Doctor ID# Capital Z followed by Pin# Capital G followed by Group# (Scribe Direct, E-mail,or FTP)
in the Author ID box.
Click on Update
then choose Only this page
then you should see the following message:
Make sure the Device Manager on the Left hand side now shows the Author ID you have chosen
Click OK
Then click on Apply
Next OK
The Device has been successfully configured.
